The piston of the mud pump is a key component of the hydraulic end system of the mud pump, mainly used to generate discharge pressure during the drilling process
Components: Piston core: Typically made of metal, providing structural support. Rubber seal: Made of rubber, used for sealing to ensure that slurry does not leak. Retaining ring: Secures the piston assembly, preventing loosening or detachment. Compression plate: Presses against the rubber seal to ensure proper sealing.
The working principle involves the piston assembly performing reciprocating linear motion within the pump cylinder. This changes the volume inside the cylinder, thereby drawing in and expelling slurry to generate high-pressure slurry flow.
Regular inspection: Check the wear of the piston, especially the rubber parts. Lubrication maintenance: Apply grease to the surface of the piston to reduce friction and extend its service life. Timely replacement: Replace immediately if severe wear or damage is found to avoid affecting the normal operation of the mud pump.
