The chain box oil seal is an important component in the chain drive system, mainly used to prevent lubricating oil leakage and the entry of external contaminants into the chain box.
Chain box oil seals are usually made of elastic materials such as rubber or plastic and are installed at the contact point between the chain box and the external environment to form a sealed interface.
Prevent oil leakage: Effectively prevent the leakage of lubricating oil in the chain box, avoid the loss of lubricating oil affecting the lubrication of the chain, and prevent the accelerated wear of the chain and the decline in transmission efficiency caused by lack of oil
Block contaminants: Isolate external impurities such as dust, sand, and moisture from entering the chain box, prevent these contaminants from causing wear and corrosion to components such as chains and sprockets, and ensure the cleanliness and good operating condition of the chain drive system
The replacement cycle of the oil seal in the chain box is not fixed and mainly depends on its usage condition. If during the inspection, it is found that the oil seal is aging, deformed, damaged or leaking oil, etc., it should be replaced in time. Generally speaking, under normal maintenance and good usage conditions, oil seals can be used for a relatively long time. They may only be replaced when the vehicle undergoes major repairs or when the chain box has serious faults and needs to be disassembled for repair.
